About the surgery

Committed to providing high quality healthcare with compassion, confidentiality and respect.

At Donaghcloney Medical Practice we believe that health care is best provided in a setting of mutual respect.  As a practice, we will seek to treat our patients with compassion and respect and our expectation is that our practice team will be treated with respect in return.

Donaghcloney staff pride ourselves in offering the higest standard of patient-centred healthcare.  We run many clinics for chronic disease care and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as childhood immunisations and well-person check-ups.

Our aim is to provide our patients with the best possible care, within the resources available to us, and to deal with any problems as quickly and efficiently as possible.

With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need.  As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you'll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Chaperones

Patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they consider one is required.  Patients are advised to ask for a chaperone if required at the time of booking an appointment, if possible, so that arrangements can be made and the appointment is not delayed in anyway.  The healthcare professional may also require a chaperone to be present for certain consultations.

Hearing Difficulties

If you have hearing difficulties and would like to use other methods to communicate with the surgery, please contact the practice with your preferred method of communication.

The surgery offers text messaging service using AccuRx, online bookable appointments for GP consultations and online ordering for prescriptions using patient access.

If you have any queries or wish to use the above alternative methods of contact, please get in touch with our reception team.

Accessibility

Although the practice does not have reserved car parking spaces, we would kindly ask our able bodied patients to leave parking spaces for the disabled/blue badge holders, near the front door.  Our premises are on flat ground.  Wheelchair access to the building is via the front entrance and back entrance.  If access proves difficult for any of our disabled patients, we would be happy to consider any suggestions for improvement.  Our staff will always be willing to offer assistance if required.
