Reception and Telephone Operating Hours

Monday to Friday - Practice doors and telephone lines open at 8.30am -1.00pm

Closure 1.00pm - 2.00pm

Practice doors and telephone lines open at 2.00pm - 5.00pm

Closure 5.00pm - 6.00pm

Wednesday -Practice doors and telephone lines open at 8.30am - 12 Midday

Closure 12 Midday - 6.00pm

The practice doors will be closed during the above times in order to carry out essential administration.   We will however be contactable during these times of closure via the telephone should a patient require urgent or emergency advice.  In the case of a medical emergency, a doctor can be contacted by phoning the surgery, where a contact number will be available.  This service is for medical emergencies only.

Only phone calls relating to emergencies will be responded to between 1:00-2:00pm and 5:00-6:00pm.

If you need a doctor for urgent medical attention between 6:00pm and 08:30am or at weekends and bank holidays, please telephone the Southern Area Urgent Care Service, (SAUCS or Out of Hours).

Please note this service is for urgent issues only and cannot be used for obtaining repeat prescriptions.  Seeing a doctor in this service is by appointment only and it is therefore necessary to telephone first.  Out of hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999.  Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
